Suit Double Breasted Wool Cotton Taupe Cavalry Twill

Made by hand in Italy, our jackets feature hand made armholes, collars, linings and buttonholes, with a full and floating canvas. Constructed with a subtle spalla camicia sleeve head as part of an entirely un-padded shoulder, with unfinished sleeves to be altered to your specifications. Our double breasted suits feature a straight lapel tapering gently into a curved closure, giving a distinctive thickness and presence to the lapel. Our trouser block has a single pleat, side tabs, mid-to-high rise and a gently tapered leg with plenty of inlay, left unfinished.

We worked with our most dynamic weaving partner to produce this cotton and wool cavalry twill. The quality lets us play with mélange tones and plenty of texture, making a suit that pays homage to those we love from the past while remaining firmly contemporary: think Kenneth Clark talking straight to camera, or the 11th Duke of Beaufort relaxing at home.

The handle is soft, and the texture the cotton lends a modern sensibility to a cloth rooted in the past. It also gives breadth, as whilst intended as an Autumn and Winter cloth, the blend allows for more breadth of use into the chillier days of Spring without looking out of place. Woven in Prato and sewn in Tuscany, as always.
