Suit Double Breasted Navy Wool Cavalry Twill
Made by hand in Italy, our jackets feature hand made armholes, collars, linings and buttonholes, with a full and floating canvas. Constructed with a subtle spalla camicia sleeve head as part of an entirely un-padded shoulder, with unfinished sleeves to be altered to your specifications. Our double breasted suits feature a straight lapel tapering gently into a curved closure, giving a distinctive thickness and presence to the lapel. Our trouser block has a single pleat, side tabs, mid-to-high rise and a gently tapered leg with plenty of inlay, left unfinished.
We've presented our cavalry twill as trousers for the past few Autumn/Winter seasons. A fan favourite, it features all the hallmarks of the sturdy riding inspired cloth without the gloss of the typical versions found in tailors' bunches. A regular custom request is for the cloth to be made into a suit, for those seeking a sturdy Winter fabric with tonal depth, yet without the softness of flannel. Able to be worn longer in the season, it's been lovely to see them come through both our made-to-measure and bespoke programs.
This year we present the cloth in two shades, a navy that is piece dyed for a flat, conservative tone, as well as a warm charcoal, which we've created through crossing our mid-grey yarns with brown. Whilst the tone is predominately the former, the brown tone comes through subtly, giving further interest to this yarn dyed shade.
Textured with a substantial twill, this is an ideal Winter suit for seasonal events or daily wear, able to keep a good crease whilst keeping inclement weather at bay.
